Superantispyware freezing problem

Can anyone help?
Every time I run Superantispyware, it stops at the following location, and locks the programme
C;\System Volume Information\_restore{0C83D441-BF52-4044-A4FD-E3966F45DBF}\RP701\A0060769.Ink.

I have cleared all the spyware before it gets to this stage,but it still locks/freezes. The only way to clear the programme is Ctrl-Alt-Delete

Many thanks

Re: Superantispyware freezing problem

That item is in System Restore.

Two thoughts.

1.) Run the scan in safe mode, and see if it hangs still.

2.) Flush out the old points, and set a new one, then run the scan again.

To do so:

CLEAR & RESET SYSTEM RESTORE'S CACHE

Go to Start >> Run - type or copy/paste control sysdm.cpl,,4 & press Enter

* Tick on the checkbox - Turn off System Restore on all drives
* Click Apply

Turn it back 'On' by unticking the same checkbox & click Apply, and then OK
