my usb is infected and i can't even format it

pls help me. my usb is infected and i can't format or even delete the files. it keeps on saying that the disk is write protected even if it's not. even the latest updates from AVG, Nod32, and MacAfee can't delete the virus. they can detect it, but not delete it. I know for sure that the usb is not write protect because i have checked it many times. from the nod32, it says that the virus is win32/hagaklan.
