red screen and double security

I see others have had the red screen problem: I would like to know how to get rid of it.
Also, windows keeps telling me I need to download a cleaner to get rid of the viruses on my machine, but I have Norton and Symantec keeps blocking the download. Norton also says there is no problem when I do a scan. Thanx for any help I can get........

This is most assuredly a bogus notification, trying to get you to download and install some sort of rogueware.

You can try the self-help thread for smitfraud variants here:

http://www.techsupportforum.com/secu...tml#post519929

Or, perform the steps for malware removal assistance here:

http://www.techsupportforum.com/secu...tml#post342651

After running through all the steps, please post the requested logs in the HijackThis Log Help forum, not here.

If you have trouble with one of the steps, simply move on to the next one, and make note of it in your reply.

Please note that the HijackThis Log Help forum is extremely busy, and it may take several days to get a reply.
