Post Computer Problems

I am having major computer problems and just need help. It is a Dell with XP on it. The problems began when I received a virus that was Sypware related. Since that time my computer is slow, I have trouble getting into Internet Explorer and downloading anything. A friend recommended I load Zero Spyware to my computer to remove this virus. I did and my computer is still incredibly slow if working at all. I have tried Rogue remover and other programs with no luck whatsoever in resolving the problem.

Post Re: Computer Problems

I have a Dell Computer with XP Windows. Recently, I had a Spyware problem and I tried Rogue Remover and Adware to get rid of it. A friend recommended that I try Zero Spyware to get rid of it. And it did! Since then or as a result of the virus, my computer has been extremely slow and sometimes I cannot get Internet Explorer to open up or it kicks me out while on line. Any suggestions?

Re: Computer Problems

Hi and welcome to TSF
Alright tosh, AWC Personal is a final step, not something you use to solve system problems related with security issues.
I personally don't recommend AWC, as it sometimes causes troubles and stuff. Mods please consider removing the link.
Alright to clean up your mess Mccalljmac, first remove Zero Spyware. It's a rouge antispyware program.

And then..
Please follow the instructions here (5 pages) and then post all the requested logs in a new thread here for the security analysts to look at. If you have any trouble running any of the scans, leave them and move onto the next.

The security forum is always busy, so please be patient and you will receive a reply as soon as possible. If you go to Thread Tools > Subscribe at the top of your new thread you will receive an email as soon as a reply is posted.
