Re: Task Manager
It all depends.
Where is it located? Do the file properties (right click, select properties) give any indication of it's origins? Company name, date of creation, etc? You can scan the file at either VirusTotal or Jotti File Scan to see if it's a known bad guy. If you can't find any solid information, you may want to have a set of logs reviewed by our Analysts in the HijackThis Log Help forum. To do so, follow the steps in this thread: http://www.techsupportforum.com/secu...tml#post342651 After running through all the steps, please post the requested logs in the HijackThis Log Help forum, not here. If you have trouble with one of the steps, simply move on to the next one, and make note of it in your reply.

Re: Task Manager
I would start with my first two suggestions. Check file location via Windows Search (making certain you have the file name correct), properties, and then if it's still not recognized, scan at one of the two sites I recommended.

Re: Task Manager
Do you mean Trend Micro "PC-Cillin" or some other software by Trend Micro.
I've used PC-Cillin for the past several years, and I've never seen that file you're talking about. I did a quick search on my hard drive for it, and found nothing. |
