Best Ant-Virus for Computer without Internet Connection

My friend is using a computer without internet connection. The computer is used for her sons to play computer games. Some of the games she installed might have virus. What is the best anti-virus that she should install? Thanks.

You could install one of many, AVG has a free version. I have heard a good report on Trend micro's PCCillian from Australia's Computer choice magazine and there are many other good ones BUT if you dont update the virus definitions regularly then the antivirus may not get the recently developed viruses.

I would strongly advise against downloading illegal games because that is a sure way to get a virus.

If you are downloading legally then make sure it is with a clean computer and update the virus definitions first. Then scan the downloads for viruses before transferring them to the other computer also have an antivirus scanner on the other computer even if it is not connected to the net.

Generally a computer without an internet connection wouldn't be infected, UNLESS as sandman said your friend's kids are installing warez, hacked games, etc etc.
