stupid, stupid, stupid. i downloaded a virus.

I was dumb and clicked on something that I knew as soon as I did that I shouldn't have. I got a virus that resulted in a red screen and popups to download some anti-virus software. I did some research and got rid of the popups, but now my system is still having problems. First of all, when it boots up, it's a lot slower. However, everything seems to be working just fine (albeit very slowly) until the icons on my desktop show up. At that point, my background disappears and is a plain white background. I can't right click on the desktop. If I go to the control panel and try to change it there, I get a popup error that says something about the file file:\\\c:\windows\privacy_danger\index.html is missing.

I'm only running Norton; I don't run anti-spyware software or anything like that. I did download ComboFix when I was getting rid of the virus.

Another glitch that started is that my clock will just stop. When I reboot it's OK but it stopped at 5:00pm tonight for about 3 hours and I was very confused as to why it was getting dark outside when it was just 5pm...
