Big increase in 302 errors, have I been hacked?
I have noticed that I have had a huge increase in 302 error messages, and also 301 but not as much. Why should there be so many redirects happening? Could it be that my site has been hacked and that people are being redirected away?
I noticed that I am getting a lot of traffic from a place called RIPE which is being used by scammers and scrapers. Anybody know what can be done? I cannot find out which pages are giving me the 302. Betram

Re: Big increase in 302 errors, have I been hacked?
G'Day Bertie, Welcome to TSF!
![]() I recommend that you read this article, "Having problems with spyware and pop-ups? - First Steps"; follow the instructions very carefully; then, post all the requested logs and information; as instructed, in the HiJackThis Log Help Forum. (Simply, click on the coloured links to be re-directed.) Please ensure that you create a new thread in the HiJackThis Log Help Forum; not back here in this one. When carrying out The 5 Steps, if you cannot complete any of them for whatever reason, just continue on with the next one until they are all completed. However,it is extremely important to make mention of the fact that you could not complete any of the steps in your post to The HJT Help Forum; where an Analyst will assist you with other workarounds. Once done, please be patient, as the Security Team Analysts are usually very busy; one of them will answer your request as soon as they can. Good Luck with it. Kind Regards,

Re: Big increase in 302 errors, have I been hacked?
Thanks for your reply, unfortunately I cannot do this as I do not host my own site which is where this is happening. I cannot see the error log for 302, it will only show me the 404s.
Regards

Re: Big increase in 302 errors, have I been hacked?
Have you contacted the host company for your site? It could be a problem at their end that they're already aware of.

Re: Big increase in 302 errors, have I been hacked?
I have just sent a support ticket, somebody on the host form has told me it is because ( Its an issue with a dedicated ip and ssl being ran too close together with other sites) but I haven't a clue what that means. Hopefully I will find out soon. Thank you for your help.
Bertie
