Hi, Have a look at this article. it gives you all the info you need. PC Safety and Security--What Do I Need?
Only run one real time anti-virus and one firewall, more than one will cause conflicts.

Re: look what...

well if you found it to be better, then you could keep it.
just that it has low detection rates, slow scanning engine, useless "shields" etc etc.

Re: look what...

Interesting. I think I'll not get it. Do you have any good alternative?

Re: look what...

You said you didn't like Spybot and AdAware, so try
SuperAntiSpyware Free @ SuperAntiSpyware.com
SpyCatcher Express @ tenebril.com/consumer/spyware/spycatcher-express.php
Good luck!

More is certainly not better, you need a maximum of 4 or 5.

The following products will protect you 10x more, make your system faster and leave money in your pocket because they are all free (I suggest uninstalling everything you had before so it doesn't conflict).

AVG Free OR avast! Antivirus Home - http://free.grisoft.com/doc/download...virus/us/frt/0 OR http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Spyware Blaster AND Spybot Search and Destroy - http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html AND http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/

Ad-Aware 2007 - http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad_aware_free.php

Comodo OR Zone Alarm Firewall - http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/ OR http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/home.jsp

Hope all this helps and enjoy life with a better, faster system.

Mikey.

That is most certainly true, but I have some things to add-
The OP already has AVG and Comodo, and
Comodo is better than Zone Alarm (it has been proven), so don't bother with ZA.

And on the AS part, it's up to the OP to have Ad-Aware and Spybot.
As I said in my previous post if he doesn't like those programs he could try SuperAS Free and SpyCatcher Express- both are free as well.

For prevention, SpywareBlaster is a must, as is IE-Spyad. A guide for IE-Spyad can be found here.
