Task Manager Woes and some other stuff

Well, first of all, these problems all started around the same time if that helps. I have ran virus, spyware, and adware scanners.
Here are the symptoms:
- When the processes tab on the task manager is selected the task manager will start to take close to 200,000 K of memory.
- Also when in the processes tab, nearly all processes have a user name listed as one or more of the square symbols.
- Regular system tasks such as disk defragmenter will not run about half the time.
- Most times after I turn my computer on numerous error messages appear about my memory with several referenced numbers.
- Shutting down my computer often ends up with a blue screen with a short message on top about how it needs to shut down.
- Finally, after the computer has been idle it will sometime not come back from the black screen saver and requires a hard restart.

Hopefully you know what's going on with my computer. Thanks for the help.

I forgot, my computer is also unable to print/will only print at very random times.

I recommend that you read this article, "Having problems with spyware and pop-ups? - First Steps"; follow the instructions very carefully; then, post all the requested logs and information; as instructed, in the HiJackThis Log Help Forum.

Please ensure that you create a new thread in the HiJackThis Log Help Forum; not back here in this one.

When carrying out The 5 Steps, if you cannot complete any of them for whatever reason, just continue on with the next one until they are all completed.
However,it is extremely important to make mention of the fact that you could not complete any of the steps in your post to The HJT Help Forum; where an Analyst will assist you with other workarounds.

Once done, please be patient, as the Security Team Analysts are usually very busy; one of them will answer your request as soon as they can.
