trojan disables keyboard and mouse

My daughters pc has a trojan virus but she was unable to get the name. She said that AVG was detecting it when her machine rebooted. Now we have no keyboard or mouse, and since they have a muliti-user setup I can't even get past the user selection screen in regular or safe mode. Any ideas??

Re: trojan disables keyboard and mouse

Is it possible for you to try the 'non-working' keyboard on another computer?

Re: trojan disables keyboard and mouse

Yes they both perform admirably on another machine, and I have tried other keyboards and mouse on the affected machine and they still do not work on the affected machine..
