Disparities in spam levels from one staff to another
Our agency has about 75 staff, all using MSExch 5.5 on XP machines, on an NT4 network. We use Outlook 2003 with SpamBayes. There's a great disparity in the level of spam from one staff to another. Some receive as much as 50 or more per day, others receive none. Sometimes new staff immediately receive a great deal, while other staff who've been around for a while receive none. The only pattern I've seen is that those who subscribe to e-newsletters or listservs seem to consistently get a lot, but others who don't subscribe to anything can also get a lot.
I'm looking into it to try and change policies or educate staff to reduce it, and I'm hoping someone has some insight into it. Thanks in advance. |
