EEK! computer help please

Hi,

I'm having an odd computer problem. I can't log-in to my Yahoo mail page. Everytime I try I get a "The page cannot be displayed" message.

It's very strange. Any online account I have to log-in for and enter my user name and password gives me that error page.

I'm using Internet Explorer but installewd Mozilla to try and get around the problem but when I open the Mozilla browser, it says it can't conect to the server.

I downloaded spybot to see if I can clean out any spyware but spybot gives me a message that says I can't check for spyware unless I download the proper updates. But something is preventing spybot from doing this..

What is this thing?

Any help would be appreciated...Thanks...

Re: computer help please

Hello Vizzz444, Welcome to TSF!

There is a possibility that you may be 'infected' with spyware, so, I recommend that you go here; read and follow the instructions very carefully; then, post all the requested logs and information; as instructed, to here. (Click on the coloured links.)

Please create a new thread in the HiJackThis Log Help Forum and not back in this one..

When you are carrying out The 5 Steps, if you cannot complete any of them for whatever reason, just make mention of the fact in your post to The HJT Help Forum; an Analyst will assist you with other workarounds.

Once done, please be patient, as the Security Team Analysts are usually very busy; one of them will answer your request as soon as they can.

In the meantime, I will transfer this thread over to the General Computer Security Forum, where one of the Security Team will surely look at it too.

Good Luck with it.

Kind Regards,
