Hello everyone,
a few days ago I decided to setup my D-Link DWL-G520 Wireless Adapter. I've noticed that after software was installed an app that I'm not familiar was also installed. Is anyone familiar with the app ANIWZCSd Service. I looked it up on www.liutilites.com but I didn't get much info from there. Any info on this will be greatly appreciated. I don't want to find out down the road that this is some type of spyware. I would prefer to uninstall it if it is safe to do so.

Re: Unfamiliar App
G'Day quizem1220,
My research tells me that this ANIWZCSd Service is rogue malware. I would suggest that you do The 5 Steps, and head to the HJT Help Forum with the Logs to get rid of it! Having said this, I will transfer your thread in the interim, to General Computer Security, so that the Security Team guys/girls can have a look too. Kind Regards,

Before you do that, have a look here, please:

Re: Unfamiliar App
Thanx tetonbob I did a little more research before placing my HJT log and did find as you did that this is a safe app and it is associated with my wireless card.
To you chauffeur2: it did help for me to run some scans, I found a couple of parasites that I needed to get rid of, so all was not done in vain. Thanx again.
