[RESOLVED] Manual delete for SpyCrush ad
Hi
I need a method of manually deleting that little blue/red flashing shield icon in the system tray that says 'System alert! System has detected a number of active spyware applications that my impact the performance of your computer. Click here to download an up-to-date antispyware solution'. It's not an amazingly serious threat, but it is a tad annoying. Hamish

Re: Manual delete for SpyCrush ad
Hi Hamish
Actually, it is a reasonably serious threat and requires specialised tools to remove. It will likely have invited some friends to the party as well. Start here and follow the instructions. http://www.techsupportforum.com/secu...sting-log.html Please note that the HJT Forum is always busy, so I would ask that you be patient and we will get to you.

Re: Manual delete for SpyCrush ad
Yeah it did, but I found the rogue processes and booted in safe mode and deleted them. Since then everything's been working fine apart from that.
