Creating Cryptainer volume on external network hard drive
I am running Windows Vista Ultimate. I am trying to create a Cryptainer volume on an external network hard drive that is cabled directly into my router.
The volume appears to be created but when I try to access it I get a Win (3) error. This drive can also be connected directly to a computer with a USB cable. When I cable it directly I can create the drive, recognize it and use it. But when I switch back to cabling it directly to the router, the volume can no longer be accessed. I want to use it cabled to the router so I don't have to have my desktop computer running when I want to access this drive from my notebook computer wirelessly. Anyone have this problem or know what I might try? I have been mapping the drive as required by the Cryptainer instructions on how to do this. I have written to Cypherix several times but have received no response. |
