Occasional "hourglass" cursor
Every so often, but with regularity (about two secs every 8), my cursor changes to the hourglass. My system isn't really making any unusual processing noise, and the CPU usage, according to the Task Manager, doesn't really fluctuate much, and certainly never much above 5%. Is this something to be worried about, or is this usual? For the record, I'm using a Dell P4 3.0GHz, with 1Gig RAM, and Win XP MCE 2005 as my OS.

Re: Occasional "hourglass" cursor
howdy Matt,
When the hourglass pops up this usually means it is thinking.. Do you get any pop-ups or anything like that? Does this happen all day or just at particular times? Go into your control panel..Click on printers and other hardware..Mouse..Pointers and see what the hourglass means in your situation.. Also try changing the default pointer options see if that helps. If not please post back.

Re: Occasional "hourglass" cursor
No pop ups or anything of the sort. It seems to be whenever the computer is on, and whether or not it is connected to the net. The pointer I get is an arrow with an hourglass next it it, which apparently means "working in the background", as opposed to the full hourglass (which I don't get), which means "busy" on my system.
