Too Many Security Programs

In order to deal with a numbr of recent glitches including something about DLL's, I purchased Norton, Ad-Aware, RegCure and Registry Mechanic. I no wknow how foolish this was but I still need to learn how to periodically clean my computer and scan for whatever. What is the real deal on computer safety and periodic maintenance?

Pretty simple actually, just a little routine effort: PC Safety and Security--What Do I Need?

Registry is the dangerous prefix where users normally destroy their system. Best stay away from software that medals with this section.

IMO you can never have too many security apps
