[SOLVED] Terribly Urgent Help Needed!!
Hey guys,
PLEASE please help me! :( i don't know how to describe to you guys, but i was using TUne Up Utilities 2007 and was working on startup files, and there were two entries that said 'Update' . Tune Up said it was potentially dangerous, and i deleted both of them. when i came back into windows, it said "unable to find update.exe reinstall application etc etc system.dll" i then tried to search for it in registry, and deleted the entry *gulp* don't ask me what compelled me to do it. now it's taking VERY long to start up windows, it's acting weird (the OS) - i asked my friend to run system restore, but it doesn't run, internet explorer doesn't start etc. this is the file that i deleted C:\Program Files\Common Files\{A05F09D1-05D7-1033-0718-010708010001}\Update.exe" mc-110-12-0000140 please help me, someone. if not, i'm dead! *groan* |

Hi
That file is known malware and will likely have some friends. Please follow this link and post your logs in the HJT Forum. http://www.techsupportforum.com/secu...sting-log.html
