Important 24 Hrs.
Hi, recently I installed some progs, they were viruses of some sort. However the past few days I have downloaded loads of AVs and got rid of them (trust me).
One virus was something that puts winlogon.exe in c:\windows i think... well, when I login to my comp it has 2 pop ups one saying C:\WINDOWS\winlogon.exe not found... or something along the lines. Last time I checked, there didnt need to be? And then theres one about someother file, which is picked out as a virus HOWEVER, it is only a audio system thing for my comp. So yeah, I get these two pop ups on start. apart from them my comps as clean as a whiste! So, I need to stop these 2 pop ups. They're in the startup somewhere then? Thanks and this is important, I have only 24hrs untill i go to england for a holiday for a week (YAYYA EXCITED... ok...), so please help! Thanks and good... morning. o.O its early! thanks.

Re: Important 24 Hrs.
I've scanned and scanned - nothing.
If you could make my topic maybe, priotity? Because I will not have access to this computer for a week, and my dad will be using it. If the virus is here, and infects, he wont be happy. Thanks.

Re: Important 24 Hrs.
I went to safe mode, scanned with ad aware and it found a windows registry secuity threat or something. I cleaned it all up, when I rebooted, it was quicker the computer loading, the "couldnt find winlogon.exe didnt pop up, however the other did.
Im going to continue to scan.+ thanks.

Re: Important 24 Hrs.
Post the main.txt from dss.exe in a new thread in the HJT Help Forum and I'll get to it as soon as possible. I can't do anything without those logs.
