Amazing New Firewall!

Well....peripherally.... have noticed some worldclass brilliance/contributions from relatively new member heha.....TechHelp24. Have PMed some mods to pls notice....exceptional he is.

As result of this....I knew right off that I needed 2 try a firewall I nevah heard of and which he recommended to a member....also saying it was way bettan than ZA also used fewer resoucrces.

I dumped my ZA on main desktop drive and got it. Am still tesitng it....but I am knocked out. File is less than 1/3 of ZA.....incredible options 2 configure everything; a leak test; I let is scan my system apps and in under a nano....it factors them all in and reconfigures itself....I think I luv it V much---it is also free.....would be most tnterested in anyone else's response:

Only thing...I recently posted aobut new Za build....now I feel like wanton firewall glut but with an S, OK? Sit just censored this rather benign word...also felt terrible as when deleting ZA....got window saying "Why don't U love me anymore? Pls fill out survey." OMG

ZA was only firewall I evah had. I do think this amazing new one....rules. But have only had it for a little bit.

I C clearly this is mega superior software. Mega. Knew itr right off when genius member suggested it 2 someone. But it assigns us responsiblities I am intimidated by:

I am trying to learn the subtleties of configuring properly....feel I have been stupid and permissive in wut I let in and settings I do not understand the nuances of.....maybe I just don't know enuff to employ this cutie properly.

I mean it. Maybe this obviously fabulous firewall is beyond my pay grade.

I'm no firewall genius. I let it do the thinking for me, and I've not been disappointed.

Summary>Component Monitor>Learning Mode

The cool thing about this product, I think, is that it does have pro features in a free firewall, for those advanced users, or those who like to tinker.

Wut is more attractive than humility...and heart? Speaks depth & health. Like meandeirng into Ferrari showroom in yr oldest Levis and Nikes......and all the REAL currency.

OK, so that I was moved to tweak and configure owed to that I am COMPULSIVE TINKERER? OMG....this would NEVER HAVE STRUCK ME!

ALSO really does mean worldclass dragonwall... DOES NOT require such?!...and when green thingy says my protection is "excellent" it is not being patronizing cause I am moron!!!!!!

I am in yr debt.....U have n idea. I was crashing & thinking I should restore the wall for preschoolers.....at least I got every part of that.

PS...Let us remembah.....much earlier today...I spend well over 90, laser-focused mins trying to troubleshoot & repair wut I thought was SYSTEM-BASED crashed internet capability....before I realized my ISP had gone down. Does this bode well for gestation of larval puter person? I think not, OK?

After reading Bob's kind post, and getting yes, Virginia, U R qualitifed to use The dragon.....I

1) booted into my backup drive, Luci, deleted the ZA

2) bOoted into my main drive, Jilly, used XXclone to do incremental update on Luci....assuming the dragon wall would transfet completely

3) Booted back into Luci....dragon wall not active; I hit it Programs and got error window saying it did not feel good and I should install it anew.

4) I cleaned up any remaining files on Luci, cleaned registry

5) downloaded new setup file from Comodo...keying in my email address, etc.

6) when I hit the setup file, I got message saying COmodo already on yr system do U want 2 UNINSTALL? wUT?

7) oK, I went along and hit yes....even though IT wasn't theah 2 begin with.

8) Nuthin.

9) I had received the emaikled codes from Coodo....but U use those when U run the setup and open the app.

10) Being consistently insane...did whole thing ovah with new download....expecting diff result...definition of insanity.
Same deal.

Any advice? I am writing from Jilly main drive.....the one with the dragon protecting it. Is this ZA punishing me again?

I am having dragon replication issue. I may have exceeded my allottment of dragons!

New edit:
am going to try one ore incremental from Jilly 2 Luci....with XXclone. Wut do I have toi loose? Maybe this time, the dragon will leap the fence from the WD to the Hitachi.

Or maybe...I need the DRAGON WHISPERER!

Sorry to hear you're having issues.

Short of asking the fine folks in our Security and Firewalls section, all I can suggest is Comodo's own support forum. I've had no trouble with Comodo FW at all.

As it's not my strength, I bow to those who speak "Firewall" fluently.

Excellent suggestion! Cause I tried another incremental update to backup drive...but THAT dragon still draggin; DRAGON ON THIS, MY MAIN DRIVE....VERY HAPPY. I will attach a screenie.

Systray idragon con ON BACKUP DRIVE appears and mouse poising ndicates it is active....but when I open it, the bullet holes 2 active/turn on....do not function, R greyed out.

Let me go post on official Dragon site. It may have suthin to do with license code. when I do incrementals to backupdrive....my Trend Micro Antispy need me to key in the activation code every time!

Well!

I got it done! Myself!

I did submit a formal ticket to the dragon people and got email affirmation....I should go back and tell them not 2 bother.

1) After trying many more insane things......cause I knew all along this SHOULD WORK, Ok?.....

2) MY friend came by---iI think this did the trick---WITH BIG, CHOCOLATE BUNNY....he is trying 2 fatten me up---which bunny I TOTALLY ATE EVERY BIT OF. I think it as the sugar surge which REPAIRED MY brain, oK?....and...

3) ...i THEN DELETED ALL DRAGON FILES from both drives, uninstalling my good one from my main drive....cleaning registry, etc.

4) I then downloaded new setup on this, my main drive. Proper setup file and dragon icon eventually on desktop....pls C screenie....and lovely dragon roared and commenced.

5) THEN, THE CHOCOLATE BUNNY really kicked in and bulb went on ovah head! I DISABLED THE FIREWALL I hade just reinstalled ON MAIN DRIVE!

6) then, with firewall disabled and good icons on desktop....I ran yet another XXclone incremental from Jillydrive > Lucidrive.

7) then booted into Lucidrive......pls C second screenie....and DRAAAAGON ALIVE AND WELL AND FUNCTIONING!!!!!

8) Booted backinto main drive I am writing from now: Jilly.....and Dragon back on and functioning here as well!

Hah! You gotta hang in....try, use instincts. But mainly....U gotta eat chocolate bunnies!!!!!!!
u BET....THAT....IS THE KEY TO ALL THINGS PUTER-RELATED.

I now have active, healthy dragons on both drives....and I am very happy.

Maybe someone can learn sumtin from this. wut? I do not know, OK? But not right to not post fix....I think it was disabling the dragon on Jilly....but not sure.
Uploadng screenies: Jilly desktop has Koalas; Luci desktop has frog.
Pls C systray with animated dragon icon on both!!!!! Yes!!!!! and they count!!!!!!!

Apparently! Also....dragons! I think....it was that the file on main drive.....was IN USE? just a guess.
