.exe problems

im having problems with certain .exes, they just simply will not execute. I attempt to run them, and nothing happens, it does not come up later, it just simply does nothing
a few programs this happens with is stepmania, alcohol 120%, and fraps
any thoughts?

If you have downloaded these executable files, received them as e-mail attachments or tranfered them through a LAN, your system may be blocking them from being executed. Right-click on the .exe file, select Properties, on the General tab press the Unblock button at the bottom, and then click OK.

that makes sense zazula, but im not seeing this "unblock" feature, could it possibly be anything else?
