Before tackling a second in home pc!
In Microbell's 5 steps, I'm not sure I understand the difference between ie-spyad.exe sites added to IE and mvps "hosts" added. As I've worked on this first pc, and followed instructions as best I could, I seem to be feeling that I have duplicated things already done. What is the difference between the sites added to IE by spyad and the mvps "hosts" list also added? I've received a notice of update by mvps, and I'm sure you know what your talking about, but I would like to understand before tackling a second pc in my home. (both being lacking in security, since I had to unhook one to use the other to find help, then found similar problems on this one and as yet haven't been able to return to the original pc and it's problems.) Now I understand most of what I've been asked to do with this pc, but this is the only part I just don't understand. Can you help me understand the difference?
Or should I ask, What are hosts? Bad sites I understand! |
