Alternative monitor message

Hi

I turned my computer after somoen else had been using it and received a message saying " new hardware has been added"

I wanted to find out what this person had added to my computer and was told
that an "alternative monitor" had been added

When I opened the internet to my personalised google home page
it was different to how my page normally displays
ie the things that are on the home page are nto the same as how i had set it up

I am concerned about internet secuurity given that an "alternative monitor" seems to have been added

I have run my usual AVG anti virus spybot and adware and they have all come up clean....

Any ideas on what I can do to ensure my computer has not been compromised
and any ideas on what the hell this new hardware is ??

thanks
A

Is there any way you can do a system restore to the time before the other user altered your pc, it may loose the alternative monitor and give you back your settings, just an idea .
