What to do

Look at the picture attached to this thread.

I have got that message quite often in the two last weeks? I know my firewall has prevented a hacker attack, but why does it come this often and should I be worried about it frequency?

Hi

I would be pleased that my firewall is doing its job - stopping attempts to access your system. This will happen all the time as hackers send out packets on info to test as many systems as they can. I turned off those particular warnings - there were just too many. In ZA go to Alerts and Logs and turn off informational alerts. You'll still receive the normal programme alerts. Can't remember exactly when I installed ZA but it currently says that it's blocked 520,764 access attempts. As long as ZA keeps blocking them then you've nothing to worry about.

Yeah well but it will probaly not tell me when it has not. And when I get attacked this frequently there is a higher propability that I might get 'hit'...

Well, I have my ZA set as I described and I've never been infected or hacked - ever.

Have a read of this article - it will help you plan an overall multi layered approach to security.
