Evil Very noobish

I know I should probably know more about this, but I know absolutely nothing about .dll files and such - so sorry if I don't provide enough info for you to help me.

I was looking for patches for a game I had and I accidentally opened the .exe file I downloaded, instead of scanning it for viruses and spyware like I normally do. Well, I got a whole ***-load of trojans and what have you, but my AVG Free took care of my trojan problem, but there was this one spyware still like the pubic hair in my eye telling me my computer is infected and wanting to install something called registry cleaner - I didn't click it, of course. I tried running my computer in safe-mode and scanning my whole computer using AVG Free, Spybot - Search and Destroy and Spyware Terminator. But when I started my computer again - there it was, like the lions to my Christians.

I would appreciate any help greatly and I again say I'm sorry if I posted this on a wrong forum or in the wrong manner. I'm at my sanity's end here.

I have attached a picture of the balloon blowing up in my face.
