Deleted files
Hie
Please tell me , how can i know if a file i deleted by pressing Shift+Alt is really deleted from my hard-rive and not in it any longer ? there r any programs which can bring it back ? 10x a lot ! |

I would not attempt to predict what a hacker or a tech guy can or can not do. If it is not founded on the search, that would be an indication that you have successfully deleted the files.
If you are concerned about the file being recovered you need to over wright it with a program designed for that purpose, at the time that you delete it. |

Hi,
if a file is deleted, basically all that happens is that your computer marks that space on the hard drive as being empty. A deleted file can therefore be quite easily be recovered unless the space is actually overwritten with a new file or new data. Back in the old MSDOS days All that was lost when a file was deleted was the first character of the file name. I use a software called "Cleaner" (no installation required) from www.softcopmlete.com which erases everything on unused disk space on your hard-drive. Thus nothing after that can be retrieved. It won't touch any sector in use or delete any other file on your hard-drive; just all thats been deleted off your system but still retrievable.
