Wierd problems with antivirus and internet
Hello,
Let me open with the fact that i'm a 100% total ignorant when it comes to computers, so and I am really unsure where this problem should go on this site. Morever, thanks for your help in advance. Now, I have been surfing the web when a strange thing happened. Firstly, my AVG anti-virus doesn't update anymore. When I try to update him it tries to connect and gets stuck there, under 'connecting'. In the past it didn't have any problems, and checks from Spybot and AVG Anti-spyware don't solve the problem. Morever, some internet sites just doesn't work... for example, www.Amoka.net just don't want to load, both on IE and on Firefox. Your help appreciated, Akodozealot Last edited by akodozealot; 01-21-2007 at 07:26 AM. |

Hi and welcome to TSF.
It is possible that some malware may be causing your problems. I would suggest you download HijackThis - this program will help us determine if there is any spyware/malware on your computer.
We'll then have a look and provide instructions to clean your system, if required. Please note that the HJT forum is constantly busy, so I would ask that you be patient while waiting for a reply. I edited that live link - since it was an adult site I didn't want folks going there (unless on purpose...)

One thing, should I post the HijackThis log at the post itself, or should I PM it to someone or something? With thanks, Akodo |

Just create a new thread in the HJT Forum and post your log there. Include details about what's happening - that will help the analyst.
