Virus/spyware messing with time/date

The time/date feature on my WinXP is messed up, on the task bar, on my emails and my Outlook Express is showing last week's emails on top and the most recent ones underneath, or sometimes on top. I had AVG but the virus disabled it as well as AntiVir. I've tried other online virus scanners which show nothing. Some don't work at all. Bitdefender showed and deleted a couple of trojans and malware but the problem persists. I stayed up all of last night trying to solve this and will probably do the same tonight. Any ideas/advice would be most appreciated!

when you look at the m/b it is the round silver battery about 1/2 an inch in diameter
turn the computer off, remove the power lead
remove the old battery and put the new one in holding it by only the edges
