No internet connection after antivirus installation...
Hi there, how're you all goin'?
I've recently installed antivirus program NOD32 and Adaware SE PRO on my PC. Both my internet browsers (IE and FireFox) now won't connect to 'teh intrawebz'. Checked my network connections and it's been verified that my modem is working. I've since uninstalled both programs and restarted the PC several times but I still can't connect. Called my ISP tech support who told me that the problem is a software based. How can I get my precious internet back and running? Thanks very much to everyone who takes time to help me out. Much appreciated guys. HE03 |

Hi,
I remembered when I installed NOD32, I had no internet connection too. But this was what I did. Download Winsock2Fix Then double-click on it to run it. After that, reboot and my Internet Connection came back. Give it a try.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH DORTS! Winsock FIX worked like a charm! I dunno how else to show my gratitude, but have a hug from me anyhow. *hugz*
Would you know if it's possible to have NOD32 installed and still have my precious internet running please? Or perhaps another antivirus would be suitable instead? Again, thanks very muchly! HE03 |
