No internet connection after antivirus installation...

Hi there, how're you all goin'?

I've recently installed antivirus program NOD32 and Adaware SE PRO on my PC. Both my internet browsers (IE and FireFox) now won't connect to 'teh intrawebz'. Checked my network connections and it's been verified that my modem is working. I've since uninstalled both programs and restarted the PC several times but I still can't connect. Called my ISP tech support who told me that the problem is a software based. How can I get my precious internet back and running?

Hi,

I remembered when I installed NOD32, I had no internet connection too. But this was what I did.

Download Winsock2Fix Then double-click on it to run it.

After that, reboot and my Internet Connection came back. Give it a try.

Would you know if it's possible to have NOD32 installed and still have my precious internet running please? Or perhaps another antivirus would be suitable instead?

You might want to install NOD32 AND use Winsock2Fix after installing.
