PLEASE HELP.

Hi

Let me see if I follow you here. You had some infections and AVG has quarantined them. You then used some kind of system recovery to re-install your operating system, but you are still finding more infections.

Judging from your examples, the infections are being held in your System Restore points. Now, normally this is fine - unless you need to use Sytem Restore. You can, if you wish, follow these instructions for flushing out your system restore points.

To turn off System Restore click Start > Right Click My Computer > Properties. Click the System Restore tab and Check "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives" Click Apply. When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click Yes to do this then Click OK.

To turn on System Restore by Clicking Start. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. Click the System Restore tab. Uncheck "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives." Click Apply, and then OK.

This will create a new Restore Point.

Since they are safely out of the way in the Vault, I would just leave them there. You'll still need to think about flushing your System Restore points though.
