How to find out what is goin on on your PC
OK, I have 3 kids that are at home why I am at work, ages range from 17-13, now over the last couple of weeks I have noticed that every day that I come home that the history, cookies and everything else that tells what you have done previously has been deleted. Is there anyway to find out what is going on? I know they have email accounts, but don't know their password to find out what is going on with them. I was going to password protect the computer, but they need it for school. I guess is there anything that can be installed that will tell me what they are doing. Normally it wasn't an issue, but now if I am there and walk into the room, they immediately close out what they are on or doing, which made me start to become suspicious in the first place, then when I started checking history, etc it was being deleted daily. At one time I did have their email passwords, but now have recently changed. Plus their all girls, and with all the recent news of predators on the internet, guess I am very worried.
Thanks |

I don't have that much experience with Home but I do know in Pro you can set policies to restrict users from certian things such as disabling the internet options tab.

You could use a key logger, They will tell you everything that has been done on your computer and even tell you all the key stroke do you can find out there passwords for emails etc.
and the best thing is that even if the delete the history the cant delete the key logger history unless they know the "Special KEYS" to open the program. ( you tell it to open when you press a Special key pattern on the keyboard)! |

In my experience keyloggers are NOT a good thing. I think what you're looking for pbowman is a software package such as: http://www.pctattletale.com/ There are many like them.
