locked laptop
Help!
We recently had an employee leave the company and his work Gateway laptop is locked. We are prompted for a password immediately after turning it on before the computer even tries to start booting. We are prompted for this same password if we try to open the BIOS or open in safemode. Is there anything we can do to get into this thing? Right now it's just an expensive paperweight! Thank you. |

Hi and welcome to TSF.
I hope you understand when I say this: we don't know who you are and therefore have no way of knowing if this is a legitimate problem or not. Password breaking or hacking is not something that we support at TSF and I therefore have no alternative but to close this thread. Apologies if this seems harsh, especially to a new member, but I hope you understand our position. Besides, I've no doubt there are plenty of methods available on the wider net.
