Hello Doug Crf:

No Anti-Spyware program is going to stop everything from getting into your system.

Please read this thread

Please download HijackThis . This program will help us
determine if there are any spyware/malware on your computer. Double-click on the file you just downloaded. Click
on the "Unzip" button to install. It will by default install to the directory - C:\PROGRAM FILES\HIJACKTHIS\
Run a scan and save the log file. Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless.
Make sure to include the System information at the top of the log as well.

Post your HJT log in HJT Log Help Forum
and an analyst will help you.

Ok I hit the unzip button but no scan button comes up.
There is something that pops up that says I need winzip
and it says I do not have it.
I just recently had to reformat my hard drive and I did not
install all the application disk do you think I need to install the
disk?
Thanks doug

The link Fred has given you is to a self-extracting file. It should not require WinZip.

Upon executing the file, it should simply self-extract to C:\Program Files\HijackThis

If for some reason it does not, you can download the exe file from here:

http://tomcoyote.org/hjt/hjt199//HijackThis.exe

Be sure to place it in it's own folder. Create a folder at C:\HJT and place the HijackThis.exe in that folder.

No scan will occur until you run the tool.

Double click on HijackThis.exe to run the program.

1. If it gives you an intro screen, just choose 'Do a system scan and save a logfile'.
2. If you don't get the intro screen, just hit Scan and then click on Save log.
3. Post the hijackthis.log file in the HijackThis Log Help forum. Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless.
