Hey all... Ok this is my problem..... I think! I downloaded a game and when i went to install it i got an error. After that I immediatly ran a virus scan and found Win32/Alcan.l & Win32/Rbot.EPW... Since then i have went to EZtrusts website because my virus scan from EZtrust wouldn't get out. It said it needed updating and the version I have says no updates avail... Anyway's, upon scanning my computer it found and deleted over 500 infected files. I was like holy moly when i seen em all. LOL I also downloaded Microsofts Malicious Malware remover and have ran it and came up empty. Does this mean i'm really clean or is it hiding somewhere? I know it's a backdoor virus or worm. Some sites say worm, other say virus. Please help!!

Hello TearsInHvn:
Please read this thread Please download HijackThis . This program will help us determine if there are any spyware/malware on your computer. Double-click on the file you just downloaded. Click on the "Unzip" button to install. It will by default install to the directory - C:\PROGRAM FILES\HIJACKTHIS\ Run a scan and save the log file. Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless. Make sure to include the System information at the top of the log as well. Post your HJT log in HJT Log Help Forum and an analyst will help you. |
