help on - netsvc.exe
im just downloaded ewido from grisoft. it was able to detect the netsvcs.exe from my flash drive. i quarentined it. i am now able to "safely remove" my flash drive (w/c i previously cant do).
now when i open My Computer, and double click on the flashdrive, a window pops up "Choose a program you want to use to open this file:". what can i do so that when i double click on it, i will be able to view the files in my flashdrive? is this related to the netsvcs.exe file that ewido removed? |

" netsvc.exe is a process which is registered as the Trojan.W32.Mytob worm. This virus is distributed via the Internet through e-mail and comes in the form of an e-mail message, in the hopes that you open it's hostile attachment. The worm has it's own SMTP engine which means it gathers E-mails from your local computer and re-distributes itself. In worst cases this worm can allow attackers to access your computer, stealing passwords and personal data. It is a registered security risk and should be removed immediately. "
I doubt it would be due to this. Try posting in 'Removable drives' under 'Hardware'. |

Hi and welcome
Please create a folder at C:\HJT or another permanent location of your choice and download. HijackThis to the folder you created. This program will help us determine if there is any malware on your computer. Before going any further, follow the link in my signature to Microbell's 5 Step Process and carry out the instructions. Once you have completed the applicable steps -
