Fix It Software?
Not knowing quite which section this belongs in I posted it here.
It seems to me that there is a crying need for a simple bit of software that simply compares the programmes on one's machine against the disc supplied. It could be used to fix glitches in programmes and compared the programme against the disc, fixing any faults it found. It would work through the programmes on the machine asking for the discs for each programme, or online address, and just straightening things out. This would sort out the usual problems where once in a while things corrupt. Does anyone know of such software or is thinking of writing it? |

You know, that sounds good, but i'm not a programmer. I'm sure someone might want to undertake a job like that.

I don't know why someone has not thought of it before! All machines get buggy and files corrupt. It only takes a programme that will compare the files on the programme disc with what is on the machine and fix any corruptions and faults. It would simply go through the list asking for the disc for each programme as it went. It may take an hour to run it, but it would be perfect afterwards!
