PC Worries
Guys, I’ve suddenly found some problems related to user access on my PC, among them;
• Greyed out Task Manager (when Alt-Ctl-Del) • Greyed out section on change my homepage in IE • No Start > Run (and can’t use [WindowsKey]+[R] to pop it up either) • No Start > Find (and can’t use [WindowsKey]+[F] to pop it up either) • In User Accounts, the account I use is set up with admin rights (Administrator account has the same problems) Anti-virus & Anti Spyware don’t pick anything up (McAfee VirisScan 8 & Spyware Doctor 3.5.0.478) I didn’t change it, how do I fix it? Dave

You probably have some sort of adware/spyware/virus infection.
Did you try posting your HijackThis log? Last edited by FlyingPenguins; 07-29-2006 at 12:12 PM. |

Hello horrgakx:
Please read this thread Please download HijackThis . This program will help us determine if there are any spyware/malware on your computer. Double-click on the file you just downloaded. Click on the "Unzip" button to install. It will by default install to the directory - C:\PROGRAM FILES\HIJACKTHIS\ Run a scan and save the log file. Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless. Make sure to include the System information at the top of the log as well. Post your HJT log in this Forum and an analyst will help you. |
