A few months ago I had this same issue and ended up reformatting, for more reasons that just this, but it all went away until a few days ago...
When I load up Windows, my background on my desktop loads immediately, but without the color correction of my video settings. It takes a few minutes, I'm not sure exactly how many, to load up the icons, start menu, and color corrections. Most programs run just fine once it is loaded up, but I know it is either a corrupt file or a virus. I fear the latter due to the fact that I attempted multiple system restores and none of them are valid, so I can't restore to any previous point. I ran an AV scan a few days ago with Nod32 and turned up a little bugger who was messing with my system restores, but I had this same issue last time as well. This being my first time on this forum, I am ignorant to the policies and procedures of this site. So please tell me any information I may need to post in order to be helped. Thanks a lot for any additional information you can give me. |
