Adware Spy

I have just paid to download Adware. I had previously paid for it about 2 years ago, and suddenly the programme disappeared from my PC. I can only assume it is programmed to only have a life of 2 years and then one must re-register it. Which I did! Now can anyone tell me when I do a Spybot check it finds about 15 entries from Adware and shows it as a problem. If I delete those 15 entries will it wipe the Adware programme I have just downloaded? Or is it that Spybot sees Adware as Spyware.

Hi moonbeam -

Are you referring to Adaware? (note the spelling)

Be careful, as there are many lookalikes that are not the legit program.

As Spybot and Adaware work well together, I'd suspect that what you have is not Adaware (note the spelling). I've run both together on many systems for a few years now, and never encountered those issues.

Adaware Pro has a pay-for license, Adaware SE Personal is free.

You may want to check in with the Programs' own support forums for these issues, if what you have is actually Adaware.
