Red faces after porn found on Sainsbury laptop

There were red faces at a Sainsbury's this week after pornographic images were found on a laptop for sale in one of the supermarket's stores.

Shopper Kenneth Stewart saw the images on the laptop's display while he was in the shop in Taunton, Somerset, shopping with his two grandchildren, aged six and eight.

A spokesman for Sainsbury's said the images had probably been sent to the laptop from a mobile phone via Bluetooth by a teenager as a prank. Sainsbury said it has increased security around its laptop display in store and ensured unauthorised bluetooth devices cannot connect with laptops for sale.

"Following this incident we have moved the laptops so that they can be better monitored by our security team. We have also asked our colleagues at the store to be extra vigilant in an effort to prevent this happening again," the spokesman told The Sun.

"It's just not on that children of that age should be exposed to those images and I was very disappointed with the way the matter was dealt with," Stewart said.

"It sends a signal that people can do what they want. If I was to show the kids pornography I would be locked up as a paedophile," he added.
