Added security for online banking

In addition to their normal security checks, Barclays have brought out a card read similar to a Chip 'n Pin device. The user enters their pin and the last four digits if the card. This generates an eight digit code that has to be posted on the web page. It is also needed for any online payments from that page. I'm sure some enterprising cracker will find a way round it but it looks pretty secure to me.

Re: Added security for online banking

Cool...Apart from the picture the card is inserted wrong. The last 4 digits are outside the casing.

Re: Added security for online banking

It's actually correct with the chip pointing down.
