Microsoft IIS Servers are "packed with malware"
Websites running Microsoft's Web server software are twice as likely to be hosting malicious code as other websites, according to research from Google.
Last month, Google's Anti-Malware team looked at 70,000 domains that were either distributing malware or hosting attack code and made the finding. "Compared to our sample of servers across the Internet, Microsoft IIS features twice as often as a malware-distributing server," wrote Google's Nagendra Modadugu, in a Tuesday blog posting. http://www.techworld.com/security/ne...SS&NewsID=9065

Re: Microsoft IIS Servers are "packed with malware"
IIS is more prone to having malware infections due to the fact they stated. Its easier to set up for people who have little knowledge which makes it easier for security holes. As Apache one of the better used for home users in North America more people will make malware that can walk through Apache security.
