Future of F1
There's so much controversy going on with F1 now that I honestly think its future is in doubt, what with the tentative agreement between the FOTA and the FIA, and the drastic rule changes as an attempt to preserve the integrity of the sport (eg. no refueling, which IMO takes a whole element of strategy away). Then there's the Renault issue with Nelson Piquet Jr. The removal of KERS is also disappointing, but understandable.
Then again, 4 new teams are signed on (and 1 withdrew), bringing the grid to 26 cars. Personally, I'm extremely looking forward to Team USF1 racing next year. I wonder what American drivers they'll take on. I don't think they should allow all 26 cars to race, though. I like the NASCAR format where only 43 cars qualify and several don't (though in a recent in a race only 43 cars attempted to qualify thus everyone got a spot). I hope Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello stay with Brawn next year. Especially Barrichello, since he's proven that with a good car he can still win against the best of them. Giancarlo Fisichella's departure from Force India and taking on a reserve driver role was disappointing, especially considering his 2nd place finish right before he left. Wonder where he'll be next year.

Re: Future of F1
I just hope Raikkonen stays in the sport now Ferrari have kicked him out. Back to Mclaren seems like the best option.
I think it will be great to have Lotus back next season, but I'm disappointed the Aston Martin/Prodrive team didn't get through. ![]() Even though I'm in the UK, I hope Barrichello wins it this season. All those years second to Schumacher, and the fact he probably won't get another chance, makes me feel he deserves it. |

Re: Future of F1
Yeah I know, half an hour after I wrote that he had won it. And now I hate Hamilton even more than before for giving him that puncture.
I suppose its good (for him anyway) that he won it, but it was only because the Brawn was easily the best car at the start of the season. |
