Martial Arts

Anyone here study Martial Arts of any kind? What do you study and how do you feel about it? Etc.

I have been studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for about a year now and think it is awesome and very practical for 1-on-1 confrontations. Its not for people who want to train in something without feeling pain or waking up sore though.

Re: Martial Arts

I did when I was a kid. Not 100% sure what style it was. I would like to take T'ai Chi however. I just can't seem to make the time.

I did Tae Kwon Do for 14 years nand its been fun made it to 2nd dan, looking into Krav Maga at the moment. Saw a demonstration of it and it and it seems really fun to learn.

I have seen some stuff on Krav Maga, its really like glorified street fighting. I am not saying thats bad, in fact thats probably a very effective style to learn if you want to know how to fight. Its one of the few that is more offensive than defensive and focuses a lot on killing your opponent. Is there anywhere in your area that teaches it?? I can't find any here in Alabama.
