A-11

What if the offense featured not one quarterback but two? Not bad, Bryan said, but things would really get interesting if all 11 players were potentially eligible to receive a pass.

Hence, the A-11 offense was born.

Re: A-11

I'd like to see how it works or a video of some plays using this formation. It seems like this could give the offense an unfair advantage, but

maybe it needs to be more of a blood sport, lets take away all the helmets, paddings and other protected gear and go at it.

as far as the a-11 offensive, its within the rules - this year After the media exposure, more teams may start doing it making things interesting. Usually when this happens, the rules will change.

Actually I think this is a good idea - as a way to cut DOWN on serious injuries. Yes down. I think the fact that there's so much protection makes players throw themselves at each other in ways they otherwise would not.

When I played in HS, after our season we had a pick up game. Our running back was heading down the sideline and I went to tackle him. Forgetting I didn't have my helmet on, I dove for his legs - standard technique. Caught a knee in the head and was groggy for a couple of minutes. If I'd never had a helmet I probably would have been taught another - safer - technique.

Re: A-11

We used to run a play called monster where we huddled at the line of scrimmage in a legal formation and snap the ball directly to the huddle. Always caught them off guard even when they had film.
