Re: are you watching
I've watched loads but not quite 'everytime it was on'.
On the whole, i've been hugely impressed with it. The facilities have been amazing and the Chinese have really excelled themselves with everything on show. I personally thought it would be a disaster and whilst it does nothing to improve China's extremely dubious human rights record or the freedom of information and speech for its citizens, the games have been a huge success in my eyes. World records have tumbled. There has also been some amazing personal achievements for many of the athletes. Team GB have done extremely well and have made me proud to be British....although i'm a little apprehensive when I think of 2012 as it will be London's honour to host the games. I have little faith in our Government and Olympic Committee of being able to stage a games which can compete with Beijing. The UK has put aside a staggering £9.3 billion to cater for everything and there is already talk of cutting corners. I'm also dreading the handover ceremony in Beijing where the London organisers have been given an 8 minute slot to officially accept the challenge of hosting the games. David Beckham, a double decker London bus, a football, some Olympic cyclists and their bikes, some dancers, Robert Page and Leona Lewis do not combine to make a great spectable in my opinion

Re: are you watching
Hi sobeit, hi everyone,
I watched occasionally but computing and forums are far better! I watched the handball final today because my country was playing and it's a sport I practiced when I was young, years ago! I also practiced tennis and other sports but I prefer to watch local matches with players I know personally as professionals/people-who-do-sports-as-a-job are boring: too easy for them and unfair! I prefer people who are really fond of that and who don't have millions to win; people who get pleasure to compete and who consider opponents as partners and not ennemies! Look at a young French swimmer (Laure Manaudou) who won "everything" in 2004: she did nothing and wanted to go back home before the end because "she was not hungry"! a shame!

Re: are you watching
I didn't watch any of it...well I take that back, I watched some diving one night because I was at my girlfriend's grandmother's birthday and was BORED!
I did keep up with some of the highlights; mainly BOLT and Phelps, but that is becuase it is all over the interweb and there is no chance of avoiding it.
