Re: World's Fastest Man ......
Hell yeah I heard about him today...
He is crazy, I am not sure if he is a human, mutant escaped from lab or some kind of robot covered with human flesh and skin... Great performance and great speed - my brother said that... |

Re: World's Fastest Man ......
The guy is awesome..completely destroyed the competition in both the 100m and 200m finals.
Is 9.5s a realistic target soon?

Re: World's Fastest Man ......
He's fast, but I immediately lost a lot of respect for the guy when NBC asked him to comment on how well Michael Phelps was doing... he replied with, something like:
I can't really comment on him because he's just a swimmer and I'm an athlete. ![]() XB |

Re: World's Fastest Man ......
Overblown? The guy broke records left and right! Everytime someone does that well, no matter what event it is in, they get a lot of coverage. Bolt got quite a bit of coverage too for his record breaking speed... was his coverage overblown too?
I was commenting more on the fact that the guy is cocky. There is such a thing as a sore winner too... why couldn't he just have given some kind of congratulations to Phelps for doing well in his respective sport instead of insinuating that swimmers aren't athletes? Just my thoughts. XB |

Re: World's Fastest Man ......
mark spitz, in my mind, is still the best. maybe in 20 years i'll be thinking otherwise.
as for the 100m, i doubt we'll be breaking many more records (just think about it: if the record is constantly broken, it'll eventually reach 1.0 x 10^infinity. Which, we know, is impossible.)
