March madness seedings

Who got screwed the hardest in the seedings this year? My pick. Is WI getting a 5 ranking nationally and getting a 3 seed, shipped out. Though Butler got hosed with there 7 seed when they are ranked in the top 15 for most of the year

Re: March madness seedings

i think butler got hosed the most. ksu kinda did with an 11 seed but not that bad i thought they were more like 8 but thats not too bad. tennesee in most years would have been a 1 seed but i dont see any 1 seeds that should be 2 seeds so i guess that works. i think the comittee did well this year

Re: March madness seedings

The committee did very well this year in my opinion. I agree with what you're saying about Butler, but that was one of the few minor mistakes they made. And Virginia Tech doesn't really have an argument for being in the tournament with their record, although talent wise they were certainly good enough to be in.

Re: March madness seedings

They also screwed up putting Stanford in the South and UCLA in the West. Assuming they both reach the final 4 (a long shot but not out of the question) they'd meet for the 4th time this year in the semi-finals.

Re: March madness seedings

I have always been a fan of Memphis State since I was a student there in the '80's when we went to the final 4 back then. Well OK they are now The University of Memphis but I was glad to see them doing so well this year and with all 4 #1's, this should be a great Tourney. It is not very often that "my teams" accrual do this well!
