Tedd Ginn Jr. injury

Quote:
Ted Ginn Jr. took the opening kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown Monday night, and as he reached the Florida end zone and circled back, receiver Roy Hall jumped on his back and Ginn’s left ankle twisted underneath him as he fell.

"I didn’t feel it immediately," Ginn said. "But that first play on offense after that, I tried to run an out cut and pffft. … I’ve never really seen anybody go out and return a kickoff and get hurt without pulling a hamstring or something like that."

He suffered a sprained foot and spent the rest of the game on crutches, his foot in a boot to immobilize it. Minus their electrifying receiver, the favored Buckeyes (12-1) looked ordinary and uninspired in a 41-14 drubbing at the hands of Florida (13-1).

Many factors led to the defeat, including OSU’s inability to protect quarterback Troy Smith and the defense’s struggles with the Gators’ crossing routes, but Ginn’s absence was keenly felt, both on the chalkboard and in players’ psyches.

Ginn, who is typically animated, stood dejectedly with a towel over his head. The prognosis for his type of injury varies, and recovery time could be between three weeks and three months.

Good job Roy Hall, the gator nation thanks you!

Seriously though, that looks like it could have been a lot worse than a foot sprain. I think he got lucky.

p.s. I am not a part of gator nation, but they are from my conference so I had to go for them
